Training success for Leader Krissy

On the 5th and 6th of February assistant scout leader Kristina was one of two leader selected from Sutton Coldfield east to take part on a county course to become a mental health first aider. The course was taken by trainer Jay Thompson provided by mental health first aid England

Over the two days they learnt about different mental illnesses and how to help the young people we work with and work side by side with parents and other leaders.

Krissy said “It was an intense and insightful course.”

She is now one of the first mental health first aiders in our district.
